I am a student at Shiles Studio, where I work on one piece at a time, mostly watercolors since I “still have on my training wheels.” I will eventually graduate to oil paintings, but I am content with watercolors, ink and batik right now. Owner/Instructor Gaylie Shiles taught me the many different methods of pouring, which I use for my resin art pieces. Gay has created a monster — now, all I want to do is create. I have a new appreciation for colors, and I am tirelessly looking for subjects and materials for painting.
